Let’s Talk About Your Next Project.
Work with Nexterra Environmental for sustainable erosion and stormwater solutions
Catch basin inserts, like StormBasin, StormSack PLUS, and the Fabco ScreenBox, are devices installed inside storm drains to filter pollutants from stormwater runoff. They remove contaminants such as sediment, debris, dissolved metals, and other non-point source pollutants before they enter the drainage system. Designed to fit various catch basin sizes and site conditions, these inserts use specialized filter media tailored to specific water quality goals.
Jen-Hill Construction offers the best in Water Quality Treatment products. No other company offers a more comprehensive array of products to meet your needs.
The StormBasin is a cartridge-based catch basin insert filter that removes and treats various stormwater pollutants like sediment, trash, nutrients, bacteria, oils/grease, and heavy metals. It utilizes proprietary filter cartridges that can be customized to target specific pollutants of concern.
The StormBasin provides a versatile solution for targeted stormwater treatment right at the inlet source. Its modular cartridge design allows for pollutant-specific configurations, while the PLUS hooded bypass handles peak flows. With adjustable sizing options, it can accommodate standard or irregular drain inlets on new or retrofit installations.
The StormSack PLUS is a geotextile catch basin insert filter designed to capture trash, debris, sediments and hydrocarbons from stormwater runoff. It features a high flow rate replaceable filter bag along with an oil absorbent boom, making it ideal for parking lots, vehicle yards and other industrial/commercial sites.
Stormwater runoff enters the catch basin and flows through the permeable geotextile filter bag, capturing sediments and solids while allowing treated water to discharge. The oil boom helps remove oils, grease and hydrocarbons. During heavy storms, an integrated bypass allows excess flows while containing captured pollutants.
The StormSack PLUS combines a high-performance stormwater filter with hydrocarbon removal in a rugged, customizable catch basin insert. Its adjustable aluminum frame allows it to conform to non-standard drain inlet conditions. The PLUS is an effective solution for capturing trash, sediment and oils at their source in commercial/industrial site runoff.
The Fabco ScreenBox is a stormwater catch basin filter designed to trap sediment and debris, while allowing runoff water to pass through the filter and exit through the storm drain system. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including parking lots, commercial properties, roadway surfaces, and stormwater “hot spots” such as transportation centers, vehicle maintenance facilities, gas stations/fueling locations, and industrial applications.
When stormwater enters the ScreenBox, it first passes through an optional Ultra-Filter-Tex oil boom placed around the top perimeter of the box for initial pretreatment. The water then flows down through a protected bypass hood into the lower filtration chamber.
As the water drops into the chamber, it is filtered through stainless steel wire screens, trapping sediment and debris in a dry state. This design reduces potential septic conditions and minimizes the weight of collected material, saving space and disposal costs.
After multiple storm events, the collected debris can weigh up to several hundred pounds. Cleanouts can be performed manually by lifting the entire unit from the drain and dumping or using a commercial vacuum truck.
Available in three sizes
Manufactured from high-strength 5000 series aluminum and stainless steel wire screens
Adjustable mounting system with extendable/contractible support flanges
The Fabco ScreenBox is a new addition to the industry-leading line of stormwater catch basin filter products manufactured by Fabco. It is designed to enhance the return on investment for best management practices (BMPs) in stormwater management.
