Challenge

At Bounty Club, an 18-hole golf course under development just twelve minutes from downtown Nashville, the construction of a four-acre, 20-million-gallon lined irrigation pond demanded close coordination between M2 Group and Jen-Hill, LLC, a Nexterra company. The pond needed to integrate seamlessly into the King-Collins course design while meeting strict irrigation and environmental standards. Jen-Hill’s role focused on inspecting the subgrade to provide a stable foundation for long-term structural performance, and supplying and installing the liner.

The site required careful sequencing and coordination to maintain dry working conditions and keep installation on schedule. The team had to balance speed with technical precision, ensuring the subgrade and anchor trenches met specifications while preparing the pond for a large-scale geomembrane installation.

Solution

Jen-Hill supplied and installed a 40-mil textured HDPE geomembrane liner across the four-acre pond footprint. The team first provided guidance on site preparation, including subgrade smoothing, compaction, and proper anchor trench construction to support long-term liner performance. Once the base was approved, crews deployed the liner panels across the pond, carefully positioning the 23-foot-wide sheets to ensure proper alignment and coverage.

Field technicians then welded the panel seams and performed air-channel testing to verify seam integrity and watertight performance. The liner was securely attached to inlet and outlet structures, completing a fully integrated containment system. Throughout the process, Jen-Hill coordinated installation sequencing and water control measures to maintain dry, workable conditions and keep the project on schedule.

Results

The irrigation pond was completed in just four days, delivering a fully lined, structurally sound system on schedule. The finished pond provides reliable, long-term water storage for course irrigation while minimizing maintenance and operational risk. The project demonstrates how precise liner installation, quality control, and coordinated execution can deliver high-performance water infrastructure under demanding site conditions.
